Petrol tanker breakdown adds to rush-hour delays

Rush-hour traffic faced delays after a petrol tanker broke down in Dundee. The incident happened northbound on Forfar Road, heading out of the city at the Claverhouse Road junction, at around 6.55am on Tuesday. One lane remained open on the busy dual carriageway, but a Police Scotland spokesman said traffic had been building up.


Man convicted of running red light on the Kingsway

A man has admitted running a red light at a junction in Dundee. Ian Scrimgeour, 51, of East Mains in Auchterhouse, admitted that on September 28 last year, at the junction of Kingsway with Forfar Road, he failed to comply with the indication to stop at a red traffic light. He was fined £150.
