Woman stole perfume from Dundee city centre shop

A woman stole perfume from a city shop. Carrie Gibson, 37, of King Street, had sentence deferred until February 14. Gibson admitted via letter to the court that she stole fragrance from Boots, Reform Street, on September 25 last year. The court heard the value of the items was £70 and there was no recovery.


Dundee man admits £5k fraud

Derek Sinclair, 41, of Balunie Place, had sentence deferred until February 23 at Dundee Sheriff Court for benefit fraud.


Dundee woman fined £180 for shouting and swearing

A 32-year-old woman shouted and swore in a Dundee street. Claire Hughes, of Ballindean Terrace, was fined £180 at the city’s sheriff court after admitting one charge against her. Hughes admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, and behaving aggressively, at a property in Finlaggan Place, on August 17.


Dundee man admits making threatening remarks

Gerrard Wilkinson, 41, of Fleming Gardens North, had sentence deferred at Dundee Sheriff Court. Wilkinson admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by swearing and uttering threatening remarks. The offence took place at Dundee Sheriff Court on April 21 last year. Sentence was deferred until February 20 for reports and assessments.  


21-month jail term for crook who stole cars

A thief who snuck in to a man’s hotel room through a window, stole his mobile phone and car keys from his bedside table as he slept, then made off with the victim’s motor has been jailed.
