Police have slammed “reckless” fire raisers after a blaze was set in a Tayside street.
Officers are looking to track down those responsible for setting a bush on fire, which then spread to a fence before taking hold of a shed in Duncansby Way, Perth.
The incident was first reported to police on Saturday around 7.55pm.
Firefighters attended the scene and doused the flames.
Police are now looking to speak with a group of youngsters who were seen in the area at the time.
PC Ben Samson said: “A number of youths were seen leaving the area and we are keen to speak to them or anyone who may have information about this incident.
“It goes without saying that the consequences of this could have been far more serious and this kind of behaviour is reckless and completely unacceptable.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3983 of 14 July. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
