Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV) were joined by Lord Provost Ian Borthwick for their Dundee West annual achievement awards in City Chambers.

Among those receiving awards were Nicholas Monteath (police knowledge), Scott Adams (commitment), Jade Heron (volunteer of the year) and Jack Crerar (leadership).

The PSYV scheme sees groups of volunteers involved in activities that aim to break down barriers between the police and young people.

Dundee has set the benchmark for the project, having expanded from one scheme to two last year.
