An investigation has been launched after yobs attempted to set fire to a bin after being denied entry into a convenience store in St Mary’s.
Although no fire crews were dispatched to McColl’s in St Boswells Terrace, the matter is now under police investigation.
The incident took place last Thursday evening.
A spokesman for the force said: “Police Scotland is investigating an incident which happened about 10pm on Thursday December 28 at a shop in St Boswells Terrace, Dundee, in which two youths attempted to set fire to a bin outside the shop after being denied entry.
“Inquiries are ongoing to identify the youths.”
