The 5th Downfield Scouts celebrated their 100th anniversary with a special reception.

The group met Dundee Lord Provost Ian Borthwick and were “interested” to see him wearing his chain of office.

The Scouts have lots of events this year to celebrate and are planning a trip to Dublin, as well as hosting an open doors day to allow the public and past members see their progression over the years.

They will also be hosting a ceilidh in September to which past members and leaders will be invited.

Also celebrating is Scout Cameron who recently achieved his 100 nights away at camp. The camps include indoor and under canvas shelters built by the Scouts themselves.
