A local bus firm has called in reinforcements from south of the border for a shuttle service to The Open in Carnoustie.
Xplore Dundee has partnered with organisers The R&A to provide a dedicated park and ride shuttle service from event car parks to a drop-off point close to the course.
Buses and drivers from sister company H:H @ National Express West Midlands have been drafted in to ensure there is no disruption to regular services.
Christine McGlasson, managing director of Xplore, said: “We are aiming to make it easier for people arriving in the town by car to get to the golf course and back again.
“We’ve worked closely with The R&A, Angus Council and Police Scotland to make sure public transport is the fastest and easiest way to get to see all The Open action.”
The double deckers will run between The Open’s car parks – signposted on the route – and the course every five minutes until Sunday.
