Work to remove a derelict lorry depot close to the Kingsway is finally under way.
The former Tesco depot on Baird Avenue is being demolished by developers.
Once a large distribution centre, the warehouse has been closed for more than a decade.
The supermarket giant pulled down the shutters in 2006 amid a controversial restructuring operation.
The site is under the ownership of the CWC Group, which hopes to have the demolition finished by spring.
Development manager Christopher Armes said the 1,030 square metre site was being advertised for use as a proposed new “design and build opportunity”.
He said: “The demolition warrant was granted in December 2017. We started that month with the soft strip and the works should be completed by spring this year.
“We are currently advertising the site on an all inquiries basis through Andrew Dandie of Graham and Sibbald and marketed as 14 Baird Avenue, Dundee.”
