Dundee United boss Robbie Neilson has urged his side to get over their disappointment of dropping points at Falkirk by bouncing back with victory against Inverness on Wednesday.
The Tangerines shared the points with the Bairns after a 1-1 draw thanks to Ciaran McKenna’s late headed equaliser cancelling out Cammy Smith’s opener.
That allowed Ross County to open up the gap at the top to five points with Ayr United losing at home to Dunfermline.
Gaffer Robbie, however, insists there’s “a long way to go” in the title race with 11 matches remaining.
He said: “We just need to look at ourselves, we still have to play Ross County twice and Ayr.
“Teams have to go to places like Falkirk and difficult venues.
“You just have to look at yourself and keep getting points on the board and keep the run going as much as you can.
“There’s a long way to go and nobody is taking 33 points from 11 games, believe me.
“It’s nowhere near that that will get you over the line and winning it.
“It’s important when you don’t take three, you take one and then bounce back as quick as you can and take three again.
“We have a chance to do that tomorrow night.”
Though they weren’t able to add to Smith’s 49th-minute goal to put the game beyond Falkirk, Neilson took heart from their approach play, with only the final ball missing at times.
He added: “I’d have been delighted to take three points, I think we did enough to take three points but we didn’t manage to get it over the line.
“We had at least two or three opportunities where we should have scored but didn’t have that final pass but at least we getting there.
“It will come and if we create those chances in the next game I’m sure we’ll take them.”
As well as dropping points, the Tangerines had two centre-backs stretchered off – though the manager says the issues aren’t as bad as first feared.
First Freddy Frans had to go off in the 24th minute after stretching for the ball in the middle of the park before his replacement Rachid Bouhenna had to be subbed himself with 20 minutes to go.
Robbie said: “The players are alright. Freddy will need a scan, I think he just tweaked his groin a wee bit and Rachid will be fine, it was just a knock on the nose so it won’t be a problem.”
