Police have warned football fans that drunkenness will see them barred from the Dundee v Aberdeen match this weekend.
Tomorrow’s Premiership clash is at Dens Park. Match Commander Martin Pattie said: “This is the first Premiership game of the new season in Dundee and we want both sets of supporters to enjoy it.
“Officers will be working with both clubs to ensure the match day experience is safe for all supporters before, during and after the game.
“I would like to remind fans that they should not drink alcohol in the street, in the stadium or when travelling to and from the game.
“Those attending the ground drunk won’t be permitted entry into the stadium and may well be arrested.
“The majority of fans will come to the match with their families and friends to enjoy great day out so please arrive in good time and be respectful to residents in our local community when arriving and leaving the ground.”
