A Dundee fostering agency is calling on foster carers to provide homes for children coming into care this year.
Fosterplus, which provides fostering services in the city, has launched a social media and video campaign to highlight the urgent need for foster families in the city.
It is estimated that more than 30,000 children will come into care over the next year and will need a foster family.
The campaign follows the story of Sophie, one of the children needing the support of a foster family.
Fosterplus service manager Geoff Armstrong said: “The Christmas period can be a really emotional and unsettling time of year for young individuals in care, so it’s a good time to remind people how they can help a child like Sophie.
“The new year is a perfect opportunity for individuals and families to provide a new start for so many of these children.”
