Inspector Gavin McKinlay of Dundee CID said: “Officers are currently in the area making enquiries and reviewing CCTV.
“Brook Street is a busy place at this time of day, and there would have been many members of the public in the area enjoying the sunny weather.
“If anyone who was in the vicinity of Brook Street saw any part of this incident, or saw the described person anywhere in Broughty Ferry around that time, please call us on 101 or speak with any Police officer. Our reference is incident 1407 of 23rd July.”
