Three people have been taken to Ninewells Hospital by two air ambulances after a crash closed a key local road.
Police closed the A9 in both directions for two hours after a two-car road traffic collision on the A9 near Blair Atholl, between Calvine and House Of Bruar.
Two air ambulances were called to the scene, taking the three involved to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
The injuries obtained are serious but not life-threatening.
The road has now partially re-opened with the officers moving one lane at a time.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12.30pm today to attend a road traffic collision on the A9 near Blair Atholl.
“We dispatched our special operations team, three ambulances, two managers and two helicopters to the scene.”
