An autistic Dundee boy’s dreams came true today after appearing on This Morning.
The Tele reported that Michael Glaister, a pupil at Kingspark School, asked for a This Morning mug in a film clip posted to the ITV show’s Facebook page.
The Dryburgh youngster – who has hopes of landing a job on the daytime TV favourite when he’s older – was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at the age of two.
With the help of his mum Charlene Anderson, 30, he requested a mug and a video message from the TV hosts.
In the clip, he tells Phillip and Holly Willoughby how much he loves the show adding: “Can I have your cups please?”
These dreams were today realised – and then some.
10-year-old Michael Glaister, who was diagnosed with autism as a toddler, caught our attention after sending a video message to see if he could get his hands on Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby's branded mugs. But we couldn't let the surprises stop there…

Michael appeared on the ITV show where he was given a goodie bag, not only containing the branded mug, but pictures and cue cards signed by Schofield and Willoughby and a rare plastic branded backing for his computer tablet.
Schofield told him: “You can put that on your tablet. No one else in the world has one of those, other than us two.
“Well, actually just you and Holly now!”
In an emotional scene, Willoughby told Michael: “You are so lovely. So, so nice to meet you,” before the Dundee lad gave them both an embrace.
Speaking to the Tele last week, mum-of-three Charlene said: “Michael’s been a fan of the show for years – since he was around three .
“He’s been talking about presenting on the show when he’s 18 and meeting Holly and Phil.
“He loves Phillip and Holly and he’s been going on about the mugs on the show they drink from.
“He watches the show on his iPad all the time.
“Michael watches Phillip on his other shows as well.
“Initially I was just going to get a This Morning mug printed but we decided to make a wee video to see how we got on.
“He was really excited when I put it on the Facebook page. It’s already been shared around 200 times.”
Charlene said in her Facebook post that Michael – who also enjoys watching The Chase, Countdown and Jeremy Kyle – had not spoken until about two years ago.
Already, his love of This Morning and Phillip Schofield has led to him taking the microphone during a holiday to Turkey in April.
Charlene said: “I’ve got videos of Michael doing his own presentations. He’ll say: ‘right Phillip Schofield’.
“We were on holiday in Turkey in April and when somebody finished on the karaoke, he got up and started hosting his own show. He hasn’t got too much speech but he talks about Phillip and Holly.”
