The stage is being set for pop superstar Rita Ora’s arrival in Dundee this weekend.
Thousands of fans are expected to descend on the city when the chart-topper and the X-Factor judge takes to the stage for her show at Slessor Gardens.
The Hot Right Now singer has three UK number one singles under her belt and is known for her collaborations with some of the music industry’s biggest names.
Workers have been seen preparing the stage at the city centre venue for the last three days.
Ora, 27, follows in the footsteps of several major stars in performing at the open-air venue.
UB40, Little Mix and Olly Murs were the first trio to bring headline shows to Slessor with Ora joining Steps and Simple Minds in Waterfront gigs for 2018.
Ora has also added acting and television work to her CV, featuring as a judge in The X Factor and The Voice as well as playing a role in Fifty Shades of Grey.
Xplore Dundee has urged travellers to be prepared for diversions throughout the city centre ahead of the concert.
Shore Terrace is closed to vehicles and a number of routes will be diverted which is likely to cause considerable traffic congestion.
Services 5, 9 and 9a will run via the Hawkhill instead of Perth Road towards Ninewells Hospital.
The service 17 will run via the Hawkhill in both directions and the 22 (towards Craigowl) will stop on Ward Road at the former Post Office instead of at Albert Square.
Roads closed to motorists include Earl Grey Place, South Crichton Street, South Castle Street, Dock Street (from Union Street to Commercial Street) and Thomson Avenue.
Xplore Dundee managing director Christine McGlasson said: “We are urging everyone attending the concert to take the bus as this will be the quickest and easiest way to travel into the city centre and get home again after the party.
“But if you’re commuting to work or planning a shopping trip it’s also a good idea to use our services – the fewer cars on the road on Saturday, the less traffic will build up and we’ll all get to where we need to be a lot quicker!” Supporting Ora will be DJ Sigma, MNEK and singer Hannah Jane Lewis.
Liz-Doogan Hobbs, CEO of promoters Liz Hobbs Group, said: “We are unbelievably excited to be bringing international superstar Rita Ora to Dundee Slessor Gardens.
“She is a wonderful pop star and actress and her energy and passion shine through her live performance. Dundee is in for a real treat!”
