A video made by Arbroath band Slipway to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War has proved a huge hit.
We made a very rough recording of this song a while back, but thought it would be appropriate with the 100th anniversary of WW1 tomorrow to make a proper recording and add it to video. I wrote it originally in tribute to my Dad but later altered the words slightly and added the melody. This is the result which we couldn’t have done without the help and expertise of George Park. Grateful thanks to him. We hope you like the result. Please feel free to share. Ian.

Band member Ian Lamb said its presentation of Old Soldier Rest had racked up almost 5,000 views online and been watched by people from across the world.
He said the reaction to the project had been successful beyond his wildest dreams.
The video was filmed at Arbroath War Memorial and at the military graves in the Western Cemetery.
George Park worked against the clock to have it edited so it could be posted online in time for Remembrance Sunday.
