Four cars have been involved in a crash causing “massive tailbacks” on the A90.
The southbound carriageway heading towards Dundee have been completely closed following the incident near the Tinkletap Farm at Tealing.
Police have said the road is not likely to reopen until 11am “at the very least”.
The vehicles involved appear to have spun in the road with each lined up facing towards the field to the left.
An witness at the scene described long queues of traffic as both lanes of the main route between Dundee and Aberdeen was closed.
He added that paramedics and firefighters were caught in the tailbacks while trying to get to the scene and had to drive on the other side of the carriageway to reach their destination.
It’s not yet clear if anyone has been injured in the crash.
The southbound carriageway is treacherous with the wind blowing snow over from the nearby field.
Bizarrely, the northbound carriageway is completely clear.
