Dundee United midfielder Scott Fraser has welcomed his player of the month award but insists the accolade is a reflection of the team’s effort.
The 22-year-old local lad was presented with the trophy at the Tangerines’ St Andrews training base yesterday.
Despite initially joking he “should have had four of these by now”, Fraser he hoped his – and the team’s – good form would continue.
The Dundonian said: “It’s obviously nice from an individual point of view to win this.
“It shows that I’m doing well. But it reflects well on the team too.
“December has started pretty well so long may it continue.
“We’ve got a tough run of games so it will be an important month for us.”
Despite a tough start to the season due to injury, Scott has since returned to fine form under boss Csaba Laszlo.
The midfielder was full of praise for the Hungarian.
Scott said: “I am enjoying it under the Gaffer. He has given me the freedom to go forward and play in a central role but has also worked hard on my defensive game.
“He keeps me on my toes by pointing out the things that I can improve and it makes me work harder and strive to get better.”
