A Dundee florist has slammed a “Bonnie and Clyde” duo who made off with a bouquet from her delivery van.
CCTV captured a man and woman stealing a £25 mixed bunch of flowers at Forget Me Not on Strathmartine Road, Hilltown.
Business owner Dawn Falconer said she was only alerted to the theft when the driver was out doing his deliveries.
He was in Broughty Ferry when he discovered the display box was there but the flowers had gone.
Dawn checked CCTV footage outside her shop and spotted a man and a woman stealing from the van on Thursday morning.
The 30-second clip showed the pair loitering near the van before the woman reached in to steal the flowers.
Dawn, who has been operating from the premises for the last six years, said it was “sad” that anyone could stoop to that level.
She said: “The driver had been in that morning loading the van for deliveries at around 8am.
“It was actually my dad who was on the run and he said there was a gift box minus the flowers.
“I actually couldn’t believe it when I looked back at the CCTV.
“The woman from the local roll shop had said the pair had been acting suspiciously in the area that morning.
“It was the girl who leaned in and stole the flowers.
“It’s very sad that someone has done that. The van was right outside the front door.”
Dawn added: “We’ve been here for a number of years and I don’t think anything like this has happened before.
“The man stood guard as the woman leaned in.
“Bonnie and Clyde must have given someone a nice bouquet of flowers yesterday morning.”
Dawn, from Fintry, has shared CCTV footage of the pair on social media in the hope of identifying them.
The video has already been viewed thousands of times.
Many viewers slammed the pair’s actions, with some saying it was “shocking” and “disgusting”.
Dawn added: “It is just very sad that someone would stoop to that level to steal flowers.”
