Two hurt as ‘several’ people involved in city centre brawl

Two people were taken to hospital after a city centre brawl at the weekend.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said that officers were alerted by several members of the public to a disturbance involving “several” men and women.

The spokesman said: “At around 5pm on Saturday we were called to attend a disturbance in several locations around Perth city centre.

“We arrived to find a group of men and women involved in a brawl.

“This was centred around The Grill pub in Flesher’s Vennel and the South Street area, including near the St John Centre.

“A man and a woman were taken to hospital with minor facial injuries. This is being treated by police as a minor assault.”
