A thug who stabbed a man with a piece of glass and assaulted another man has been jailed for more than three years.
Lewis Webster, 23, was warned his attacks in Montrose last year could have had “catastrophic” consequences for his victims.
Webster previously admitted assaulting Scott MacLean by pushing him on the body, repeatedly punching him on the head and striking him on the head to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement at Nursery Road on May 27.
Webster, a prisoner at HMP Perth, also admitted assaulting Robert Coull by pushing him on the body and stabbing him with a piece of glass on William Phillips Drive on August 7.
Sentencing him to three years and nine months in prison, Sheriff Tom Hughes said: “You could have caused far more catastrophic injuries to these persons. You are very lucky it’s all you are appearing for in this court.”
