A thug who glassed a fellow pub-goer has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Scott MacQueen, of Clepington Road, pleaded guilty to striking Mark Dolan on the head at Duke’s Corner on Brown Street on May 5 last year.
Sheriff John Rafferty said the 26-year-old was “extremely fortunate” not to have seriously injured his victim. MacQueen was ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work and pay £200 in compensation.
He was also placed on supervision for six months.
