Police Scotland has appealed for information after more than 20 caravans were broken into in Dundee.

The incidents happened last week, between 5pm on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday.

The thieves entered a yard in the city’s Harestane Road and a total of 23 caravans and mobile homes which were being stored there were either broken into or attempts were made to gain entry.

A police spokesman said not all the owners of the caravans had been traced and no details of any stolen property were available.

He added: “If you have any information about this incident which could help with our inquiries, please call 101 or speak to any police officer.

“Information can also be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

The incident followed a break-in at a house in nearby Harestane Place.

Various items of music and car memorabilia, including rare vinyl records, were stolen between 1am-2pm last Tuesday.
