Thief, 49, admits to breaking into Dundee solicitors’ office

Jack Harris, 49, a prisoner at Perth, was jailed for 25 months by Sheriff Alastair Brown at Dundee Sheriff Court.

Harris admitted that between February 24 and 26, he broke into Miller Hendry Solicitors and Estate Agents, Ward Road, and stole a set of keys, rucksack, spectacle case, a quantity of electrical devices, cash, paperwork and alcohol.

He further admitted, on March 28, forcing open a door, and attempting to break into a house at Albert Street.

On the same day at Manhattan Court, he broke into a shed and stole a bicycle.

The following day at Malcolm Street, he forced open a car and stole headphones, a stereo case, cash and possessed a lock-knife.

He further admitted that on June 13, at Cotton Road, he breached a bail curfew by being outwith his home address, while on bail.
