Tayside Police has launched a hunt after two incidents of an intruder being disturbed by residents.
Both incidents took place in Forfar at the end of last week.
A house in Lour Road was broken into between 2pm and 2.30pm on Friday October 12. A police statement said: “Access was gained to a bathroom from outside, and it appears the intruder was disturbed by the householder, who was home at the time.
“Fortunately, nothing was taken. Officers would like to trace a man who was seen nearby at the time, described as about 5ft 10, slim build, and wearing a blue and white checked ski jacket.”
The other incident took place in a close in nearby Viewmount at around 9.50pm on Thursday October 11. A number of doors were tried and entry was gained to one of the flats, but again the intruder was disturbed by an occupant.
The police statement added: “While we cannot yet say for definite whether these incidents are linked, it is being considered a possibility.
