Dundee’s regeneration will be marked at a community celebration in the new V&A Dundee museum next month.
Building Stronger Communities In Scotland will showcase successful projects by 22 grassroots organisations that are working together to improve community life in Dundee, in areas as diverse as social enterprise, wellbeing among parents and children and advocacy for disability groups.
Keynote speaker will be Lindsay Graham, the inspiration behind the Dundee Bairns project which provides free school meals for city children during the school holidays. Since July 2016, it has supplied over 100,000 free lunches and breakfasts.
The event on Tuesday October 9 will be hosted by the Rank Foundation and the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, which have partnered to promote new ideas and projects for strengthening communities.
