A Dundee and Angus College student has reached the finals of the British Education Awards.
Jonathan Feeney-Brown, who is studying makeup artistry, is a beauty ambassador for Christian Dior and has always had an interest in fashion and beauty.
He is also a self-employed hairdresser and beautician and loves being a male in the world of hair and makeup.
Jonathan said: “When I heard I’d been shortlisted for a British Education Award I was over the moon. I told all my family and friends, and I got even more excited when I realised I had an excuse to buy a new outfit for the event.
“I hope to graduate with an A in HND makeup artistry — or as close to an A as I can get.
“I love the fact I can express myself in artistic ways.
“I’d never had much confidence in myself but my lecturers would push me to do the things they knew I could achieve.
“I want to work on more fashion shows and television and film sets.
“I’ve not long finished being the head of hair for Dundee’s feature film ‘Schemers’.”
The awards will be presented at a ceremony at The Hilton in Manchester next Wednesday.
