Huge gales have forced the complete closure of the Tay Road Bridge.
The authorities took the decision for safety reasons shortly before 11am.
As protocol the bridge has to close to all vehicles if winds reach 80mph.
High winds – BRIDGE CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC and CENTRAL WALKWAY CLOSED.

Earlier, the crossing was only open to cars with a 30mph speed limit – but conditions have deteriorated.
The area remains under a Met Office yellow weather alert for strong winds with Storm Hector battering the country.
