Dundee man Jim Irving visited Ninewells Hospital to hand over £400 and toiletries to staff in Ward 33.
Former NCR worker Jim had a stroke 10 years ago.
Since then, he has been raising money for the acute stroke unit to show his appreciation of the care he received.
The money was raised through Jim’s annual quiz and raffle which is held in Craigie Bowling Club.
Thanks to family and friends and with the support of Ward 33 staff, the event raised £570, with £170 being used to buy toiletries for patients.
Accepting the cheque, senior charge nurse Fay Cunningham said: “I am delighted to accept this donation from Jim.
“It’s very generous of him to keep giving of his time to raise money for stroke patients.
“Jim has been raising money for the ward for 10 years and I’d like to say a big thank you on behalf of the team who work in Ward 33.”
