The National Rail live departures board confirms widespread cancellations and delays from Dundee Railway Station.
Getting around by car is no easier, with strong winds forcing the complete closure of the Tay Road Bridge.
Bridge bosses have revealed a wind gust of 91.7mph was recorded around 1pm and the road remains closed in both directions while Storm Ali unleashes its full force.
Restrictions have been in place on the crossing all day but winds have increased leading to the drastic measure.
Protocol states the bridge should be closed to all traffic when winds reach 80mph.
Roads across Dundee have been disrupted due to the storm.
A statement from bridge bosses read: “We will continue to monitor the wind speeds on the Bridge and will re-open once we are confident that winds are dropping down to safe speeds.”
