The search for a man who went missing in the Tay Road Bridge area is over.
Emergency services combed the area after concerns were raised for a man thought to be missing in the area.
Both Broughty Ferry lifeboats, coastguard teams, police and ambulance officers were sent to the Fife side of the bridge just before 5.30am.
But a police statement in the past few minutes said: “Police are no longer in attendance at the Tay Road Bridge after reports of concern for a missing man this morning.
“Broughty Ferry lifeboats, coastguard teams, police and ambulance were sent to the Fife side of the bridge just before 5.30am this morning.
“There’s no longer concern for the man and the bridge remains open.”
A spokesman for HM Coastguard said: “We received reports of concern for a missing person in the area of the Tay Road Bridge on the Fife side.
“Both Broughty Ferry lifeboats were launched.”
The bridge remained open during the search.
