French culinary star Jean Christophe Novelli and Scottish chef Tony Singh are among the stars who will appear at this year’s Dundee Flower and Food Festival.
The programme for the event, which also features The Incredible Spice Men, Cyrus Todiwala and fighting stunt team The Clann, was unveiled in City Square today.
A mouth-watering line-up also includes Glasgow-based chef Jacqueline O’Donnell and Beechgrove Garden presenter Carole Baxter.
John Alexander, convener of Dundee City Council’s neighbourhood services committee, said: “I have attended and enjoyed the Dundee Flower and Food Festival for many years and afterwards I always wonder how the organisers are going to keep up the same high standards at the next event. But without fail that’s exactly what they do.
“The quality of special guests, entertainment, demonstrations and displays will ensure that the Dundee Flower and Food Festival continues to attract crowds from all over Scotland and beyond for all three days.
“Tickets go on sale next week and, as in previous years, there are some great deals for three-day passes and early bird offers.”
Preparations are already underway for the programme of cookery and gardening demonstrations, floral displays and inspirational ideas for home and garden taking place at its traditional home, Camperdown Park.
Visitors can also expect a range of quality food and drink produce, with a chance to “try before you buy” at the numerous trade stands.
In addition there is the craft, food, flowers, Woodlands4Yew marquee and children’s activities.
For 2016 the festival will be hosting the Scottish Chrysanthemum and Dahlia National Show as well as the largest competition flower show in Scotland where more than 100 trophies will be up for grabs.
Dundee Flower and Food Festival will take place from Friday September 2 to Sunday September 4.
Tickets go on sale on Monday.
