Hillcrest has teamed up with charity Togs for Tots to Teens to donate a sleigh load of gifts to children suffering poverty.
Staff came together to quickly build up a haul of toys, sweets and games to be packaged into shoe boxes and gift bags, which were then handed over to the organisation.
Togs engages with families who are struggling most and believes that every child should have the opportunity to develop positively.
As part of the initiative, the gifts it receives from the public are distributed to those who are most in need in order to make Christmas a little more special for those who may have otherwise missed out.
Some of the items donated by kind-hearted Hillcrest staff included dolls and teddies, toy cars, yo-yos, skipping ropes, puzzles, stationery, items of clothing, toiletries and sweets.
Hillcrest fundraising officer Clare McNally said: “By generating a large amount of gift items and organising these into shoe boxes and gift bags, we hope to bring Christmas to those who have the least and are struggling most.”
