A Scottish woman has faced the naked truth by baring all in an effort to find love on national television.
Amy Bateman, from Abdereen city centre, appeared on Channel 4’s Naked Attraction – a dating game show in which contestants judge each other without clothes, reports the Evening Express.
A man or woman seeking a partner is allowed to view each contestant naked, deciding to eliminate one participant in each round based on how attractive they find their body.
The brave 21-year-old stripped off in the hope of snaring a date with Ryan, however Amy’s dreams of love were crushed after he chose to send her home in the second round.
Ryan claimed Amy’s lack of tattoos or piercings left him unable to judge her character, but backstage she insisted “there is more to me than meets the eye”.
Amy, who works as a sales assistant, said: “I’d seen Naked Attraction on TV and seeing as I hadn’t any luck with dating apps I thought I would give it a go. I’ve tried three or four apps but just haven’t been doing well.”
Despite Amy’s bad luck on Naked Attraction, she hasn’t sworn off love just yet and described the kind of characteristics she is looking for.
She said: “I’m still single and looking for a boyfriend. Hopefully I will have more luck in the future.
“I’m looking for men 5ft 8in and up, medium build, dark hair and blue or green eyes, but it all depends on if we have that connection.
“If you can get along with them and get to know them, then that’s what matters.”
Baring all on national television has done wonders for Amy’s body confidence, and she has encouraged others to do the same for a similar boost.
She added: “I’ve always been confident but not particularly body confident, but going on Naked Attraction has changed that. I would even consider going back if I stay single.
“It’s been a really positive experience and I would recommend it to anyone.”
