Simple Minds will two Tayside concerts this summer. The Glasgow based rockers will take to the BBC stage first, before returning to the area to play another open-air concert at Dundee’s Slessor Gardens, alongside The Pretenders and KT Tunstall, in September.

Tickets for the BBC event are due to go on sale on Monday February 12, with priority going to local residents.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this article stated Simple Minds are to play at this year’s Rewind Festival at Scone Palace. This was an error. The band are not playing the popular 80s festival. We are happy to make this clarification.
