Lifelong restriction for Robbie McIntosh who tried to kill woman at Dundee beauty spot

A man who was previously convicted for murdering a woman on Dundee Law has been jailed for attempting to murder another woman at Templeton Woods.

Robbie McIntosh has today been sent to prison for five years.

He was also given a lifelong restriction by Lord Arthurston at the High Court in Aberdeen today, meaning he might never be free again.

The 32-year-old previously admitted repeatedly hitting Linda McDonald, who was walking her dog at the time, across the head with a dumbbell at the city beauty spot on August 7 last year.
