Residents are being warned to expect six weeks of travel disruption from today as roadworks begin on a main route through St Mary’s.
Dundee City Council’s resurfacing programme in St Kilda Road involves carriageway and footway resurfacing work, and speed bumps replacement.
The whole street will be repaired in sections during the work.
Councillor Kevin Keenan, whose Strathmartine ward covers the area, predicted that shops on St Giles Terrace and St Boswells Terrace could suffer during the six-week programme as both are accessed by St Kilda Road.
However, he felt the improvements would boost the area.
