Public exhibition on plans for 150 homes in Dundee

Kirkwood homes has submit plans for 150 new homes at Linlathen

A building firm is to hold a public exhibition this month showing plans for 150 new family homes in Broughty Ferry.

Situated at Linlathen to the north of Broughty Ferry, the development will provide a mix of housing — from starter homes to family accommodation.

Ahead of the exhibition, developer Kirkwood Homes has called on members of the local community to attend the event, ensuring that have their say while helping to play a role in the future development of the site.

Kirkwood Homes’ managing director Colin Crombie said: “At Kirkwood Homes, we fully understand the importance of effective and meaningful consultation.

“This is a vital part of all our developments and we look forward to meeting with the local community to discuss our proposals.

“I would encourage anyone with an interest in the proposals to come along to our public exhibition.

“It’s a great chance to hear about the plans in more detail and importantly provide us with your feedback.

“Members of the project team will also be on hand to answer any questions that the community may have.’’

The exhibition will be held at Panmurefield Baptist Centre in Lawers Drive next Tuesday from 3pm-7pm.

Kirkwood Homes intends to make a second presentation to the community at the beginning of next year, ahead of the submission of the planning application to Dundee City Council.

The council’s development management committee rejected an initial bid for the development earlier this year and a subsequent appeal to the Scottish Government was unsuccessful.

The plans have since been revised by Kirkwood Homes.
