Former player Sean Dillon is one of the contenders to manage Dundee United

With the club due to announce the departure of Ray McKinnon, the focus turns to who may replace him as Dundee United manager.

McKinnon’s Tannadice tenure has come to an end after 17 months following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat by Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

A bookmaker has installed former Raith Rovers and Falkirk manager John Hughes as the favourites, followed by ex Dundee United striker Jim McIntyre.

Other contenders include Sean Dillon, Steven Pressley, Alan Stubbs, Billy McKinklay, Billy Dodds, Paul Lambert and Christian Dailly.
