Police have confirmed they traced a driver who drove the wrong way down the A90.
The incident took place between Friarton and Broxden in Perth on Thursday, with the blue car heading towards oncoming traffic.
Luckily there were no casualties.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland received a number of calls from concerned motorists regarding a small blue car that was seen travelling the wrong way on a carriageway of the M90 between Friarton and Broxden.
“Fortunately, no collisions occurred. The car and driver were traced a short time later in Perth city centre and appropriate action was taken.”
A witness admitted he was left terrified after the incident.
He added: “I knew by the time I had called the police that the driver would already be at the Broxden roundabout and hopefully be safe and realise his blunder.”
