Police are to have a presence in a Tayside street “for some time” after two arrests were made following an alleged assault.
Police responded to a call to attend Grampian Court, Perth, at 1.45am following reports of a man being injured.
There was a hive of activity in the area this morning involving emergency services as a lengthy stand-off ensued.
Sniffer dogs were also on the scene. See video below.
A cordon was set up and nearby roads were closed off until late morning.
A police statement said “Two men aged 28 and 38 have been arrested. A 36 year old woman who was also within the property is assisting officers with enquiries.
“A 37 year old man had earlier been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following an alleged assault.
“Enquiries into the incident are continuing and there may be a police presence in the area for some time to allow them to be completed.
“We would like to thank the local residents along with those affected by the closure of Crieff Road for their patience and co-operation while the incident was safely resolved.”
