Police have issued a safety warning after receiving a blank panther was reportedly spotted on the loose in Scotland.
Ayrshire Police have asked “residents to be vigilant” after the apparent spotting of the big cat in the fields near to the B730.
Police also urged the public not to approach the creature, which was spotted near the villages of Drongan and Coalhall.
Officers are currently working with the SSPCA to locate the animal which may be injured.
Police first received calls of a sighting at 8.45am and officers are searching the area.
The area is popular with dog walkers.
