A motorcyclist suffered “potentially life-changing” injuries in a crash last night.
Police and paramedics were called to the collision involving a grey BMW motorcycle and a white BMW car on the B954 Dundee to Alyth road at Auchterhouse, Angus, at around 5pm yesterday.
The motorcyclist was taken to Ninewells Hospital last night.
A police spokesman said: “The motorcyclist’s injuries are non life-threatening but potentially life changing.”
The road was closed for more than two hours with the Stagecoach bus service 57 diverted via Coupar Angus.
Meanwhile, a lucky driver survived his vehicle being crushed by a lorry in an Angus crash yesterday.
He managed to get out of his cab and walk away – despite the lorry landing on top of his van.
A full-scale emergency response went to the scene of the accident on the A937 at Hillside, near Montrose.
Multiple police vehicles and an ambulance were joined by three fire appliances from Arbroath, Laurencekirk and Montrose, along with a special appliance from Macalpine Road in Dundee, when the alarm was raised at around 11.15am.
The lorry driver was was taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries.
