Police are looking to track down the occupants of a red car seen speeding away from a local Spar after it was raided.
The convenience store on Main Street, Inchture was targeted in the early hours of this morning a quantity of cash was stolen – the second break-in at the premises in around two weeks.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said “a specific part” of the shop was targeted and the culprits appear to have disregarded other valuable items.
Today’s break-in comes after a similar incident at the same shop in the early hours of Sunday October 28.
A spokesman for the force added: “Police Scotland is appealing for information following a break-in at the Spar store, Main Street, Inchture, which happened about 4:45am today.
“A red car was seen to drive away from the area at speed about the same time, and officers would like to trace this car and its occupants.
“If you have any information about either of these break-ins, please call 101 or speak with any police officer. information can also be given anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is CR/27757/18.”
