Firefighters tackled a major blaze at a local scrapyard.
A police spokesman said that the fire, which broke out in the early hours at the Burnside Motors site in Montgomery Drive, is being treated as suspicious.
More than 100 vehicles were set alight.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said that around 20 firefighters tackled the blaze after receiving 45 calls from the public on Wednesday morning.
Firefighters stood down at 6am after tackling the blaze for nearly two hours.
The spokesman said: “We were called to attend a blaze in Leven at 4.23am today.
“Firefighters stood down at 6am and the matter is now being investigated by police,”
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “A fire broke out at a scrap yard in Leven in the early hours of the morning.
“The police and fire service were in attendance.”
It is understood there were no casualties.
