Police are investigating a report of a sex attack in a Dundee park.
An area of Baxter Park has been sealed off after an incident reported to have happened late on Thursday night.
The investigation is in response to a report of a woman being assaulted. No details of the perpetrator have been revealed.
A statement from Police Scotland read: “Police Scotland is investigating a report of a sexual assault of a woman which took place in Baxter Park in Dundee at around 10.30pm to 11pm yesterday.”
Detective Inspector Gavin McKinlay added: “Our inquiries are at an early stage, but I would appeal to anyone who was in this area who saw or heard anything which may be of interest to call us on 101 or speak with any police officer.
“There will be a continued police presence in the park whilst we carrying out our inquiries.”
Police closed of the park completely in the early ours of this morning with the cordon now focusing on an area of the park parallel to Arbroath Road.
Officers remain on the scene and the main gates of the park at Arbroath Road have been sealed off.
