Police have made a breakthrough in the hunt for armed robbers who stole items while they locked two OAPs in the bathroom of their Dundee home.
Detectives today re-appealed for information into the robbery at Strathyre Avenue in Dundee on Wednesday 14 November.
Frances and Phillip Youngs were robbed of cash, currency and ladies and gents jewellery by two men whilst they were at home at 7.20pm.
Detectives were keen to trace a black Corsa – registration mark SG13 ZLZ – which was taken during the robbery.
This has now been traced.
Detective Inspector Gavin McKinlay said: “The vehicle was traced this afternoon in Dundee and I would like to thank the public for their assistance in the matter.
“We are continuing with our investigation and are still looking to trace two men in connection with the robbery.
“If anyone has any information I would urge them to get in touch with us on 101, quoting reference CR/27950/18′.”
