Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after a fan was struck by chairs at a Scottish football game.
A national search has been launched to track down the man after an Aberdeen fan was hit by an object thrown from a section of the ground housing away supporters.
The incident happened during the game at Pittodrie against Rangers on Sunday September 25.
A video captured the moment a Rangers fan was seen throwing a seat into the home section after the match following a last-gasp winner from the home side. The game finished 2-1 Aberdeen.
Seats were damaged with officials at Aberdeen FC saying at the time that they would be going through the CCTV with Police Scotland in a bid to find out the extent of the damage caused.
Constable Stuart Hache said: “We have conducted a number of inquiries into this incident and believe the male may have important information pertaining to this inquiry.
“I would urge anyone with information relating to the male depicted in the CCTV images to make contact with the police and pass on that information.”
