Police say they are speaking to the family of a missing man after the death of a person on a local railway line.
All trains running through Pitlochry were halted yesterday at 8.45pm due to a fatality on the railway line. Replacement buses were drafted in for the remainder of the evening.
Cops have not formally identified the man but they say they have notified the family of Malcolm McGraw, who was reported missing from his home address in the Pitlochry area at around 11pm on Friday.
Specially-trained officers were yesterday drafted in to join the search for the 74-year-old.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said yesterday: “Malcolm is a keen walker and is known to walk the surrounding areas of Pitlochry.
“We have trained officers conducting extensive searches in the area, including his usual walking routes. We also have police dogs in the area assisting with the search.”
