The Tay Road Bridge has been closed off by police following an incident.
The crossing has been closed since 4am and, as of 7am, remains completely closed.
Members of the Broughty Ferry RNLI have been called to the incident and an ambulance is on standby beside the lifeboat station in Broughty Ferry.
The exact nature of the incident is yet to be confirmed by police.
A spokesman for the RNLI confirmed officers were in attendance and the operation was ongoing.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland officers are currently dealing with an ongoing incident on the Tay Road Bridge.
“Both carriageways are closed to all vehicular traffic. In addition the footway in both directions is also closed.”
